Accountant Part-time – Hybrid PositionLocation: Oshawa/Durham, OntarioWebsite: <a href="https://www.lupusontario.org" target="_blank">www.lupusontario.org</a>Hours: 16 hours per weekSalary: $30.00/hourStarting: March 2026Reports to: Office Manager&nbsp;Accounting Responsibilities<ul><li>Data entry into Donor Management system – Canada Helps, My Tribute, cheques received, manual donations from Walks.</li><li>Issue tax receipts for manual donations and monthly recurring, if required.</li><li>Take deposits to bank weekly</li><li>Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts</li><li>Setup journal entries in QuickBooks Online. Post once approved by Office Manager</li><li>Prepare Revenue Canada filings for HST and Payroll and monthly remittances to CRA. File online once approved by Office Manager.</li><li>Prepare annual T4 and T4A filings for CRA.</li><li>Reconcile revenue monthly between Donor Management system and QuickBooks. Maintain and file monthly revenue reconciliation backup for auditors</li><li>Attend weekly Operations Committee meeting</li><li>Other accounting tasks as assigned by Office Manager</li></ul>Administrative Responsibilities<ul><li>Answer phone and forward messages</li><li>Pickup mail from storage facility as required</li><li>Send out funeral cards to funeral homes annually</li><li>Send out memorial cards when requested</li><li>Other administrative tasks as assigned by Office Manager</li></ul>Minimum Requirements<ul><li>Accounting certificate or 5 years of accounting experience</li><li>Ideal for retired accountant interested in maintaining accounting skills</li><li>Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting system required</li><li>Experience with MS Office – Outlook, Word and Excel required</li><li>Experience with Donor Management systems like eTapestry an asset</li><li>Must be detail oriented and organized</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Able to work independently as well as on a team</li><li>Automobile and laptop required</li></ul>
