Unpaid Volunteer Position

York Region Educational Services (YRES) is dedicated to leading community volunteerism as a proud recipient of Canada's Volunteer Award, through providing a wide range of volunteer positions in communities in the Greater Vancouver Area, Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, and Alberta. We are looking for a Logistics Coordination Volunteer who is passionate about giving back to their community, enjoys making a tangible impact through organization and inventory support, and thrives in a collaborative, social work environment.

The Logistics Coordination Volunteer is responsible for:

  • Sorting, labeling, and organizing donated or purchased materials within the storage unit for easy identification and retrieval
  • Packing and preparing supplies for upcoming events, camps, or programs based on distribution schedules
  • Unloading and shelving incoming deliveries, ensuring items are stored safely and space is used efficiently
  • Assisting with loading materials into vehicles for transport to event or program sites
  • Conducting regular inventory counts and updating tracking sheets to reflect current stock levels
  • Other tasks as required

Location: Richmond Hill

Date & Time: Ongoing - Weekly

Shift: Weekdays 9am - 5pm
