Program Overview – Better Jobs Ontario, Integrated Employment Services, Community Programs The BJO Employment Consultant, Integrated Employment Services, is part of a high-performance team that improves communities, families and individual lives through effective access to employment. Working at a local Integrated Employment Services Centre or other sites in the City of Toronto, they rapidly help high-need jobseekers obtain quality, sustainable employment. The employment needs in the City of Toronto are intense, and our Employment Consultants bring caring, energy, focus and skill to address these needs in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. WoodGreen’s Employment Consultants are supported by caring managers, training, tools, procedures, and systems for success. The BJO Employment Consultant guides and supports jobseekers to prepare and submit Better Jobs Ontario Applications to apply for funding for education &amp; training in the hopes of finding quality, sustainable employment. They provide a context for jobseekers to believe in themselves and feel empowered to succeed in obtaining employment. Through rapid and intensive engagement with clients in a structured service delivery model, they establish excellent rapport and trust, understand client needs, prepare them for the BJO Application process and work alongside clients throughout the research and application process. What You Will Do<ul><li>Build rapport and an emotionally supportive context for each client to feel trusting, engage readily in the job search process, and believe in their own success to obtain employment. Help clients build their motivation and confidence.</li><li>Ensure clients understand the Better Jobs Ontario and Integrated Employment Services approach and the value of services provided, particularly retention support.</li><li>Create equity in all aspects of service delivery, striving for inclusion and equitable outcomes for all jobseekers who come to WoodGreen.</li><li>Manage a caseload of BJO applicants, in various stages of the application process. Using excellent time management and efficiency, effective appointment planning, client assignments, and activities, move clients toward skill upgrading and employment with pace and urgency.</li><li>Maintain accountability for monthly individual intakes and application targets.</li><li>Readily participate in training and coaching to support achievement of targets. ONLINE VOLUNTEER SUPERVISOR (After-school hours and/or Saturday, grades 1-12)

As Group Facilitator 1, you will facilitate groups such as educational/treatment groups and in our Back on Track (BOT) program to assist persons who have been convicted of impaired driving or registered a blood alcohol level in the ‘warn range’.&nbsp; As an Info/Referral/Intake 1, you will&nbsp;provide intake/information/referral to potential clients and assessment services to agency clients. This position will also provide an agency orientation to clients seeking service within the agency.&nbsp;&nbsp; This position provides services in various capacities to ensure the organization meets the needs of clients where they are located.&nbsp;This position will be based in the Aurora office location, reporting to the Assigned Supervisor.&nbsp;ASCO is required to follow all public health and provincial directives as well as of those of our Ontario Health Team partners as related to the pandemic and other health issues that may come forward, including but not limited to vaccination requirements.This is a full-time permanent position for 35 hours per week, with a minimum of two evenings per week, weekend work is also expected (i.e., some Saturdays).&nbsp;The hourly wage rate is $29.75 for 21 hours (3 days) worked as a Group Facilitator 1 and $29.43 for 14 hours (2 days) worked as Info/Referral/Intake 1. Follows-up with individual directly to provide additional information and/or external referral, if required.</li><li>Reviews SR Fax referrals that Addictions Withdrawal Management Services (AWMS) receives from medical providers to determine appropriate program and/or service and follow-up directly with the individual that has been referred to ASCO services to provide additional information and/or external referral, if required.</li><li>Receives calls from the Eastern York Region North Durham Mental Health and Addictions Wellness Centre and follow-up directly with the individual that has called the Wellness Centre phone line for help with navigating the appointment booking page.</li></ul><ol><li>Community Consultation</li></ol><ul><li>Provides resource and service information in response to client requests.</li><li>Provides other community resource information to those individuals who are inappropriate for agency programs and services. </li></ul><ol><li>Community Relations</li></ol><ul><li>Responds to the enquiries from professional service providers (e.g. crisis team staff, physicians, nurses and guidance counsellors).</li><li>Assists professional service providers in making appropriate referral requests.</li><li>Maintains an up-to-date resource list of resources available in the community.</li><li>Collaborates with organizations in the community to best support clients. </li><li>Attends weekly meetings at various Situation Tables consisting of multi-sector providers throughout York Region, and participates in collaboratively identifying and resolving situations of Acutely Elevated Risk (AER).</li><li>Drive/Operate and Provide services on the Mobile Rapid Access Addictions Medicine (M-RAAM) unit, when assigned.</li></ul><ol><li>Administration</li></ol><ul><li>Enters intake information into the electronic intake form, the agency’s data base and information management systems.</li><li>Establishes and maintains Clinical Resources files for agency staff and post current information on bulletin boards.</li><li>Ensures daily tasks and responsibilities are conducted with an Anti-Oppression and Anti-Racism (AOAR) framework and through an AOAR lens.</li><li>Comfortable with using a range of technological platforms to support virtual meetings, trainings, etc. </li><li>Ensures the confidentiality of all information received is maintained.</li></ul><ol><li>Professional Development</li></ol><ul><li>Participates in clinical staff training programs and skills development courses as per the Clinical Supervisor or Clinical Director.</li><li>Keeps up to date on emerging trends, treatments and programs related to substance and gambling addictions.</li><li>Provides training to the clinical staff regarding the entry, screening and intake functions.</li><li>Contributes to agency research projects, as required.</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>Qualifications:&nbsp;<ul><li>College Diploma in one of the social sciences or a health-related discipline, Bachelor’s degree, an asset. </li><li>Member or member in progress with one of the regulatory colleges under the Regulated Health Professionals Act ex: College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario; Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.</li><li>Formal training or education and experience in crisis intervention and management.</li><li>Sound knowledge, awareness and understanding of anti-oppression and anti-racism (AOAR) practice.</li><li>Strong knowledge base in substance use and problem gambling and continuum of use.</li><li>Experience working with people with substance use and/or mental health issues, an asset.</li><li>Ability to work in a harm reduction context.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and administrative skills.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail a requirement.</li><li>Competent in relevant computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office and Outlook.</li><li>Ability to work both on a team and independently.</li><li>Proficient in use of data management systems;
