Established in 2016, Fetch + Releash is a volunteer run dog rescue dedicated to saving dogs in need. Our foster dogs come from a variety of different backgrounds such as pounds and shelters, strays and surrendered pets, both locally and abroad. Through our network of volunteers, foster homes, trainers and veterinarians, we strive to give every dog the loving forever family they deserve. &nbsp;As a foster-based dog rescue, our foster dogs live in private homes across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) where they receive the love and attention they need to prepare them for adoption. Our Mission Adoption By collaborating with local and international communities, our mission is to save dogs in danger of homelessness, abuse, neglect or euthanasia. Position Summary: Volunteer transporters will transport both dogs and supplies for the rescue in their personal vehicle. &nbsp;This opportunity is great for those that are interested in staying local within the GTA! Volunteers should be physically able to assist with these tasks safely.</li><li>Strong Communication Skills Volunteers need to maintain clear communication with the transport and foster teams, promptly confirming availability and providing updates during assignments.</li><li>Dependability and Punctuality Dogs often need to arrive at veterinary appointments or adoption events on time. Program Description:Meals on Wheels is primarily a nutrition program with therapeutic, preventative and social components. The service involves the safe and efficient delivery of hot and frozen meals to persons who are unable to attend to their own nutritional needs. These clients include the elderly, disabled, chronically ill and/or convalescent. Referrals to other services, safety checks and friendly contacts are desirable components of the program. Meals are delivered by volunteers and when volunteers are not available, staff assist.&nbsp;&nbsp;Position Summary:Under the supervision of the supervisor or designate, the volunteer will assist in the organization of effective delivery of the MOW program in collaboration with other volunteers, staff and stakeholders. &nbsp;Quality, Health &amp; Safety/Risk Management:In order to reduce risk to clients, employees, volunteers and the agency, SPRINT Senior Care expects that all employees and volunteers will work within the mandate of their job description, and abide by the policies and procedures of the agency. Calgary Meals on Wheels is looking for meal delivery volunteers! Make a difference in your community by helping our team deliver nutritious meals to over 850 grateful clients each day. Calgary Meals on Wheels delivers meals between 10:30am-1:00pm Monday – Friday, and we are looking for volunteers with the following availability: Regular Route – Pick a day of the week and frequency that works for you (weekly, monthly, etc.), and we’ll match you with an available route in your quadrant of the city. You’ll do the same route each time you volunteer and get to know the route and clients. Flexible Spares (City-wide) – Can’t commit to a regular route? No worries! We need help covering gaps; sometimes planned, sometimes unexpected and last-minute. All available routes are posted online for you to choose the route and day(s) that suit your schedule. Couriers (Downtown) – Join one of our staff drivers in a branded van to deliver meals to clients downtown. At each stop, you’ll take the meals into the building while the driver stays with the van. You can courier on a regular frequency (ex: weekly on Mondays) or fill in as a spare based on your schedule. We're currently looking for Couriers with Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday availability.
