SMART Exercise facilitator - program for seniors

Learn to facilitate or co-facilitate an exercise program geared for seniors called SMART exercise to deliver at local community centres, retirement homes, etc. Some classes are done online to reach senior participants who are unable to leave their home.
Volunteers are provided with in depth online training and volunteer shadowing to ensure that they understand how to lead a class, teach participants how to do the exercises and to ensure the health and wellbeing of participants.
SMART Exercise facilitators lead participants through a class incorporating chairs, stretch bands, light weights while enjoying music and conversation.
