The Marketing/Social Media Specialist will support the marketing needs of Global Peace Network, with a focus on creative content development. The position will be responsible for the creation, implementation and management of GPN marketing materials including quarterly newsletters, social media posts, advertisements, & the organizational website. The position will also share responsibility of connecting with partnering organizations for content creation & development.

Core Expectations:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with design/layout of content for wide-variety of media, including web, collateral, online/digital media
• Proven ability to write compelling copy
• Own and update content as needed, including presentations, infographics, web content, etc.
• Maintain marketing materials and templates
• Experience of digital marketing, including web, video and email
• Able to work well in a fast-paced environment, on deadline
• Able to attend meetings as needed

Core Requirements

• MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, PPT and Outlook
• Google Drive skills, including Docs, Sheets, Slides & Gmail
• Graphic programs, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or similar
• Experience with HTML and Marketing Automation softwares is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, marketing communications, journalism or market management is a plus
