Child and Youth Worker
Child & Youth Worker
$23 - $25 per hour

What you will do
- Support children and youth in their daily activities and routines.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals.
- Promote a safe and positive environment.
- Document and report on progress and incidents.
What we are looking for
- Required: Minimum 3 years of experience working with children and youth, particularly those with behavioural or mental health challenges.
- Required: Solid understanding of child and youth development theories, trauma-informed care, and mental health issues.
- Required: Knowledge and practical experience with de-escalation techniques and crisis management.
- Required: Diploma/Degree in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Required: Valid First Aid & CPR Certification.
- Required: Valid Safe Management or UMAB Certification.
- Required: Valid G2 or G Driver’s Licence.
- Required: Vulnerable Sector – Broad Record Check completed within the last 12 months
