We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Youth &amp; Family Engagement Lead to join our team at Rosedale United Church, a congregation of approximately 200 members in midtown, Toronto. The Youth and Family Engagement Lead has overall responsibility for fostering community among children, youth and families at RUC and helping young people and families engage with spirituality and social justice. A S2F Virtual Coach plays a significant role in encouraging children weekly to achieve positive change physically, mentally, and emotionally through fitness and literacy. Coaches help build confidence and motivation within children, while reducing learning gaps and developing a lifelong love of learning.We have two online volunteering opportunities:Our Brainworx! is an online afterschool program for students in grades 1-6 and runs twice a week between Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, for 30-40 minutes each session. We focus on physical activity, literacy, and social-emotional development. Each group has 10-12 students and 3-4 coaches. Our Brainworx program has various start times between 3:30pm - 6:30pm EST.The Junior Coach Leadership Program is an online afterschool program for students in grades 7 and 8. It runs on Mondays afterschool for 1 hour and focuses on developing students’ leadership skills, while still incorporating physical activity and literacy. General Office Volunteer - High Intensity (remote) Organization: Right to Live Canada Right to Live Canada | 30+ hrs/week | Volunteer Position------ The Mission Canada is currently facing a human rights crisis of international consequence: poverty-driven disability euthanasia (MAiD). Individuals, blocked by state-enforced poverty, are choosing to end their lives with state assistance due to being unable to access essentials such as medical procedures, supportive housing, or even food. This systemic failure has triggered a United Nations investigation, criticism from the Canadian Human Rights Commission, and global condemnation.Right to Live Canada is engineering the only viable, system-level alternative to this crisis -- Social Brokerage. By creating a pipeline between sources of raw capital and specific one-time support plans ("Stability Mandates") for individuals in the process of applying for MAiD, the organization creates the "viable alternative" that the system itself mandates its assessors to find but does not currently provide. This represents the world's first market-based solution to poverty-driven euthanasia and the creation of a social impact credit system which exchanges philanthropic capital for verified, life-affirming outcomes, akin to carbon credits.Right to Live Canada is currently pre-pilot.------ The Opportunity Right to Live Canada is a start-up non-profit solving economic euthanasia. We are in need of high intensity, committed volunteers who are ready and willing to put in the hard work to &nbsp;advance our work.
