Unpaid Volunteer Position

We are currently seeking 3 new board members to join our team. You can apply by emailing your cv to board@hcci.ca along with a brief statement about why you'd like to work with HCCI.

We are recruiting a treasurer and two general Directors for terms to start as soon as possible. Experience reading financial statements and/or accounting are an asset for the treasurer. For the general positions, no prior board experience is necessary, but experience with non-profits/charities and/or fundraising is an asset.

Interested applicants should have a strong connection to one or more Hamilton communities and a commitment to working from an anti-racist/anti-oppressive lens. HCCI is led by and for communities who have been marginalized and we encourage applications from members of Black, racialized, Indigenous, queer/2SLGBTQ+, disabled/neurodiverse, newcomer/immigrant, and low income communities.

Apply before June 15, 2026.

To submit your application or for any questions, contact board@hcci.ca

HCCI is a small but far-reaching charity with a mission to mobilize Hamiltonians to create an inclusive and welcoming city. Now, more than ever, our work is needed to support efforts for equity, justice, and amplification of voices. As a Board Member you will help steer the organization and ensure that we can continue to sustain our efforts and programs in the coming years. You also get to join in on pizza parties, lots of laughs, and being part of a supportive team working to make things a little better during dark times.
