• Job Title: Program Aide
• Location: Regent Park Area (Toronto)
• Unpaid Volunteer position
• Approximately 8 hours per month for a 3-6 month minimum commitment

About us

Social Community of Care is a Community-Led organization in the social work sector, dedicated to empowering the Regent Park community and fostering positive social change among young people. We focus on providing safe spaces, support and resources to youth based on their needs. Our goal is to bring youth from Regent Park together in a positive way that will have a long-lasting impact on the community.

What you will do

• Assist in the planning and execution of community programs and events.
• Provide support to program coordinators and team members.
• Engage with community members to understand their needs and provide assistance.
• Maintain accurate records of program activities and outcomes.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure the success of our initiatives.

What we are looking for

• Required: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Required: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Optional: Previous experience in community service or social work.
• Optional: Knowledge of social work practices and principles.
