Youth Engagement Coordinator

McCreary Centre Society (McCreary) is seeking a skilled facilitator with strong youth engagement skills to support McCreary’s ongoing youth groups and to conduct online and in-person workshops with youth across BC.

The successful candidate will initially focus on facilitating healthy relationships workshops with 2SLGBTQ+ youth, as well as gaming and gambling awareness workshops with youth in Grades 7 to 12. They will also support McCreary’s various youth groups.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience meaningfully engaging diverse youth in a trauma informed and culturally responsive manner. They will also have an understanding of 2SLGBTQ+ communities and experience working with youth from these communities.

Salary: $54,167 per annum. for 37.5 hrs per week. Employees are entitled to health benefits upon completion of six months’ employment. Additional benefits include professional development and health and wellness funding, and an optional RRSP/TFSA scheme.

This is not a remote position and will be based at McCreary’s office at 3552 East Hastings Street, Vancouver.

The position will require travel within the province of British Columbia.
