Youth Director
JOIN THE AACC BOARD | YOUTH DIRECTOR
Are you passionate about making sure young artists have a voice in Airdrie?
The Airdrie Arts & Culture Council is looking for a Youth Director to join our Board of Directors and help us build stronger opportunities, connections and representation for youth and young adult artists in our community.
This is more than a seat at the board table.
Our Youth Director will take the lead on AACC’s youth engagement work, including building and leading a Youth & Young Adult Arts Committee that brings emerging artists together to share ideas, identify needs and help shape opportunities for the next generation of Airdrie’s creative community.
What you’ll do:
- Serve as an active member of the AACC Board of Directors
- Build and lead a committee of youth and young adult artists
- Develop opportunities for youth engagement, leadership and mentorship
- Bring youth perspectives and priorities to the AACC board table
- Help connect young artists across disciplines and cultural communities
- Work alongside the AACC team to turn ideas into meaningful programs and initiatives
- Champion arts and culture opportunities for Airdrie’s next generation
Who we’re looking for:
You don’t need to have previous board experience.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about arts and culture, believes young people should have a voice in our community, and is excited to take an idea and help make it happen.
You are collaborative, reliable and comfortable bringing people together. You’re willing to roll up your sleeves, build relationships and help create something meaningful.
Experience working with youth, young adults, artists, community organizations, education or leadership would be an asset.
Time commitment: Approximately 5–10 hours per week
Position: Volunteer Board Director
Location: Airdrie, Alberta
This is an opportunity to gain meaningful board and community leadership experience while helping shape how Airdrie supports its emerging artists.
If you believe the next generation of artists should have a seat at the table, we’d love to hear from you.

Send us a short introduction telling us about yourself, your connection to arts and culture, and why youth engagement in Airdrie matters to you.
