Writer / Copywriter (remote, volunteer)

Commitment: Part-Time, ~ 5-7+ hours per week, Remote

------ About Right to Live Canada
Right to Live Canada is a national non-profit organization dedicated to combating poverty-driven euthanasia and alleviating poverty-induced suffering among Canadians with disabilities.

------ The Opportunity
Right to Live Canada is a new start-up non-profit dedicated to empowering Canadians with disabilities. We are seeking four to six very talented writers to join us as our team of copywriters. This team will provide writing for things like pages on our website, brochures and other print media, and potentially internal documents like program outlines and plans. Ideally, we seek well-read individuals who are extremely strong cognitively in logic and systems, as well as verbal and language, so that they can understand our organization, cause, and the background behind it, and communicate that effectively in writing. A demonstrated, proven, top level writing ability is required, preferably with good experience in marketing.

Our current plan for our teams workload is as follows:
- website copywriting ( 2 - 3 volunteers)
- newsletter (1 volunteer)
- print materials (1 volunteer)
- internal documents (1 volunteer)

You will meet via Google Meet with our Executive Director to gather all required information and do knowledge transfer, read given documents and articles as necessary background, then perform given writing tasks. This role is done entirely remotely via Slack and Google Workspace (docs, sheets, drive, etc) tools, as our office is remote-first. You may also be given the task of taking existing writing and edit / improving it.

We are a rapidly growing, start-up non-profit organization that seeks to become a national movement to support Canadians with disabilities against systemic poverty-based suffering and the spectre of poverty-driven euthanasia and suicide that take countless lives each year. Your writing skills will provide the essential written communication to ensure we have the maximum chance of success in making an impact. By raising awareness amongst the general Canadian public, as well as doing direct impact programs, we intend to make a difference and save lives.

Thank you for taking the time to read our ad. If you feel you might be suitable for this volunteer role, please email your resume to Volunteer@RightToLive.ca.
