Position Summary
The Public Engagement and Resource Mobilization (PERM) team at AKFC is multi-faceted and dynamic. It is made up of highly motivated professionals, whose responsibilities include: the development and execution of public engagement initiatives; the mobilization of financial resources from Canadian individuals and corporations; the management of corporate communications; collaboration with the AKDN and its agencies; volunteer engagement; and the stewarding of relationships with government partners and other institutions.
The World Partnership Marketing Coordinator supports two of Canada’s most impactful national fundraising initiatives: World Partnership Walk and World Partnership Golf. In this role you will bring these campaigns to life by supporting corporate partners, amplifying impact storytelling, and contributing to meaningful, large-scale events.
This full-time, 8 week position reports to the Manager, Corporate Engagement and is part of the Canada Summer Jobs program. The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 per hour and will require regular presence in Ottawa.
Responsibilities
- Creating and adapting marketing content for digital and event use
- Supporting corporate storytelling (team captain profiles, partner features)
- Monitoring and engaging with social media content from partners
- Tracking workplace fundraising performance and supporting outreach efforts
- Coordinating marketing materials and partner kits for sponsors
- Updating event webpages and managing logos and branding assets
- Supporting sponsorship tracking and fulfilment
- Organizing and distributing event-day photography to partners
Qualifications
- Experience or education in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media or related field.
- Able to work independently supporting a team of individuals to achieve results.
- The ability to maintain strong and respectful personal relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
- Proven administrative, time management, and organizational skills with the ability to apply great attention to detail, prioritize work, and apply judgment to situations.
- Superior oral and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in French is a strong asset
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ambitious and approaches tasks with a sense of urgency
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing ideas, sharing expertise, and supporting colleagues to achieve common goals.

Participation in the Canada Summer Jobs Program requires applicants to:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee protection status
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Not hold another full-time job (30+ hours/week) during the placement
- International students and those on temporary visas are generally not eligible to apply.
