Dunavox Foundation is a nonprofit organization focused on authentic career transitions, professional development, and empowering youth and adults through workshops, bootcamps, and learning experiences. We host events every other month to support people in building confidence, clarity, and practical skills for their careers.
Role summary
We are looking for a committed Volunteer Workshop & Events Coordinator to help plan and execute our bi-monthly workshops (every other month). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing events, creating simple content, and supporting professional development initiatives.
Key responsibilities
The volunteer will:
- Plan bi-monthly workshops
- Work with the founder to choose dates, themes, and formats for upcoming events.
- Create a simple timeline and checklist for each workshop.
- Coordinate event logistics
- Confirm event platform (online or in-person).
- Manage registration forms or links.
- Help prepare reminder emails/messages for participants.
- Support the smooth running of the event on the day (online or onsite).
- Speaker sourcing and communication
- Help identify potential speakers or facilitators aligned with Dunavox’s mission.
- Reach out to speakers with clear information about the event.
- Coordinate speaker confirmations and basic follow-up details.
- Content planning & social media support
- Draft simple promotional copy for workshop announcements (e.g., captions, short blurbs).
- Create basic graphics using tools like Canva (templates can be provided).
- Prepare a mini content plan for promoting each workshop over a few posts.
- No daily posting is required, just consistent promotion before each event.
- Participant engagement & follow-up
- Assist with sending pre-event reminders and joining instructions.
- Help collect feedback after each workshop (short survey or form).
- Support simple follow-up messages or thank-you notes to participants and speakers.
What we’re looking for
- Strong organization skills and ability to follow through on tasks.
- Good written communication skills.
- Comfort using basic digital tools (email, Google Docs/Sheets, Canva or similar).
- Interest in career development, adult learning, or youth empowerment.
- Able to commit to supporting events every other month and some preparation time in between.
Time commitment
- Approximately 4–6 hours per month, with slightly more time in the month of each workshop.
- Events are hosted every other month, so preparation happens leading up to those dates.
- Schedule is flexible and can be adapted to the volunteer’s availability.
