Website administrator

Heritage Vancouver Society (HVS) is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer who is interested in helping us with our website.

As our website administrator, you are responsible for the operations of our WordPress dashboard and keeping our website up-to-date in terms of content and events, while making it user-friendly. You take initiative in website development and work together with our Executive Director and volunteers from the Communications and Marketing Committee. You ensure the website runs well and is protected against viruses, malware and hacks.

About us

HVS is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to being a voice for heritage by providing educational programming and creating awareness of heritage issues in the city.

Our concept of heritage is broad; we practice heritage with the understanding that our natural and built environments are cultural and oftentimes with a number of cultural and social meanings.

Volunteering at HVS

As a volunteer Web administrator for our Communications and Marketing Committee you:

• Are an experienced website administrator, webmaster or WordPress web developer
• Have advanced knowledge of Elegant Themes DIVI builder
• Are proficient in HTML/CSS, XML, SQL and JavaScript and are familiar with web standards and management tools
• Take the lead in content development for our website
• Are able to participate in meetings about the website when needed
