Web (Wix) & Graphic Designer (Remote)

Volunteer Role: Web (Wix) & Graphic Designer (Remote) Right to Live Canada | 10–15 hrs/week | Volunteer Position

We are seeking a talented and self-motivated volunteer who blends graphic design skills with web design expertise to help us build out our digital presence.

This is a remote, flexible opportunity where your creative efforts will lead the transformation of our basic website into a comprehensive, visually engaging, and highly informative resource, shaping the visual identity and digital presence of our organization.

Possible Activities

• Web Design & Build: Lead the UX/UI design and development of our website using Wix, ensuring a clean, responsive, high-conversion, and emotionally compelling user experience.
• Graphic Design: Create compelling visual assets, including custom graphics, banners, layouts, and imagery, to create a high quality web design.
• Page Development: Develop effective pages for information, search engine funnels, training resources, sponsorship and 'Stability Mandate' sales, etc, that embody a design that is beautiful, effective, efficient and user friendly.
• Brand Building: Help define and build out our brand existence through a website that embodies high standards for design excellence and create high associative marketing value for potential sponsors.
• Ownership: Take ownership of collaborating with the executive director to translate the vision into a polished website design.
• Best Practices: Apply your expertise in user-centered design, responsive layouts, and accessibility (WCAG).
• Ad & Conversion Strategy: Google Ads/conversion pipelines development would be a big help as we have a $10k/mo ad grant with Google available to utilize and help us make an impact.

Who we're looking for:

• Proven experience in both Graphic Design and Web/UX/UI Design, with specific hands-on expertise building sites in Wix/Wix Studio.
• Strong understanding of visual communication, user-centered design, responsive web layouts, and WCAG accessibility standards.
• Self-motivated, organized, and passionate about creating impactful digital journeys.
• Ability to work with a team in a virtual office environment via Slack. We are asynchronous, meaning our schedules are not set; each volunteer contributes their hours to help when they can during the week.
• A creative mindset to develop impactful, informative graphics and pages in line with clean minimalism and Apple - grade design standards.
• Bonus: Please provide a link to a portfolio showcasing your previous web and graphic design work when applying.
