About the Opportunity
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about community impact and interested in contributing their skills, perspectives, and leadership to the governance of our organization.
The Board plays an important role in supporting the long-term sustainability, strategic direction, and community accountability of Wavefront Centre. We welcome applicants from a broad range of professional and lived experience backgrounds.
This year, we are particularly seeking candidates with experience in:
- Lived experience from members of the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, DeafBlind, disability, and accessibility communities
- Fundraising and donor development
- Social enterprise or business leadership
- Governance and strategic planning
- Finance, audit, or risk management
- Accessibility, healthcare, or community services
- Communications, marketing, or public relations

Time Commitment
Board Directors are elected at our Annual General Meeting on June 24, 2026.
Directors serve a two-year term, with the option to extend. The Board meets virtually approximately four times per year, with additional participation through committee work. Current committees include:
- Governance Committee
- Audit Committee
