Established in 2012, Sai Dham Food Bank strives to eliminate hunger by aiding vulnerable
populations such as low-income seniors and the disabled. With 24/7 operations, they provide
emergency hampers, monthly deliveries, senior wellness programs, and nutritious meals for
homeless individuals and children in need.
How we're different:
Sai Dham focuses on serving homebound seniors and distributes about 100,000 lbs of food
monthly to other agencies, showcasing their commitment to broad community support and their
unique round-the-clock operation.
Job Description:
We seek a compassionate and dedicated Warehouse Assistant to join our team at the Food Bank. The
ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our food distribution
process and fostering a positive and supportive environment for clients and team members.
The ideal candidate may be able to explore involvement in the following programs: Door to Door Food for
Seniors, Children's Breakfast, Feed the Homeless, Student's Grocery, Senior's Wellness
Responsibilities:
● Pack and organize food items efficiently for distribution, ensuring accuracy and
adherence to quality standards
● Receive, sort, and organize food donations from generous contributors, maintaining a
well-organized inventory
● Conduct deliveries to centers serving the elderly, children, and homeless populations,
demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and empathy
● Actively participate in food raising and donation drives, engaging with the community to
collect essential items for the food bank
● Lead and participate in initiatives to raise awareness and collect food donations from
various sources within the community
● Keep the work area clean, tidy, and organized to ensure a safe and efficient working
environment
● Work collaboratively with fellow team members to streamline food packing processes
and contribute to a positive team dynamic
● Interact with clients respectfully and empathetically, providing support and assistance
during the food distribution process
● Foster a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for clients, volunteers, and fellow team
members

● Be flexible in task assignments and adapt to changing priorities, contributing to the
overall efficiency of the food bank
● Address challenges effectively and seek solutions to improve the food distribution
process
● Maintain accurate records of food inventory, distribution, and client interactions.
