WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Walk Committee members are a group of volunteers who support Cystic Fibrosis Canada by promoting the event to a wide audience of donors and anyone who may be interested in supporting the efforts to drive life-changing advancements in cystic fibrosis
The committee works both independently and collaboratively to ensure a successful, fun, and safe event.

ROLES
Committee roles are flexible, tailored to the event's size and needs, and aligned with members' strengths and interests. You can focus on one or more areas based on event requirements and personal preferences.
Committee role areas of focus include:
•Recruitment & Registration
•Finance
•Volunteer Coordination
•Marketing & Promotions
•Fundraising & Sponsorship
•Day of Animation

TRAINING & SUPPORT
This role facilitates small group conversations about logistics and fundraising. For this reason, we have a robust training and support plan in place for you:
•Initial training and regular, ongoing support from CF Canada Walk Team
•Access to resources to support goals (guides, templates, toolkits)
•Available support from CF Canada National Walk Team during business hours

COMMITMENT
•February – April approx. 2-3hr/week with monthly committee meetings, weekly email communication and some independent work
•An increase in hours throughout the month of May, approx. 3-4 hr/week
•Available all day on Walk Day, May 31, 2026

IDEAL QUALITIES
•Project Management experience
•Comfortable in a leadership role
•Detail orientation
•Excellent communication skills in English
•Experience with event planning and/or fundraising events an asset
