Role Overview
The VP Events leads the planning and execution of YWiB Vancouver's events throughout the year. This role is responsible for turning ideas into well-organized, engaging experiences that deliver value to members and reflect YWiB's mission. The VP Events oversees the event calendar, event strategy, logistics, and execution while working closely with the Event Coordinator, VP Programs, VP Community, VP Marketing, and VP Sponsorships.
Key Responsibilities
â—Ź Develop and maintain YWiB Vancouver's annual event calendar.
â—Ź Lead the planning and execution of major events and member experiences.
â—Ź Establish event goals, formats, timelines, and success metrics.
â—Ź Oversee event logistics including venues, catering, registration, run-of-show, volunteers, and day-of execution.
â—Ź Manage and mentor the Events Coordinator.
â—Ź Create repeatable event planning processes and checklists.
â—Ź Collaborate with the VP Programs to ensure events support YWiB's professionaldevelopment objectives.
â—Ź Collaborate with the VP Marketing to promote events and drive attendance.
â—Ź Collaborate with the VP Sponsorships on sponsor requirements and event partnerships.
â—Ź Work with the VP Community to create welcoming and engaging member experiences.
â—Ź Conduct post-event reviews and identify opportunities for improvement.
