Overview
The Website Development Assistant will support the team with website updates, content management, and basic optimization tasks. This role includes uploading and formatting content such as blog posts, event pages, and announcements, monitoring website functionality, and flagging technical issues or broken links. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with digital tools, and familiar with website builders such as Readymag or other drag-and-drop platforms. This position is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in website management, accessibility, and basic SEO best practices.

Duties

• Assist with administrative and content updates/changes on the website
• Upload and format new content such as blog posts, event pages, and announcements
• Monitor website functionality and flag technical issues or broken links
• Optimize pages for readability, accessibility, and basic SEO best practices

Qualifications

• Time Commitment: 3-4 hours per week
• Familiarity with website builders (Readymag or other drag and drop builders in particular)
• Basic understanding of web structure, formatting, and content layout
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow formatting guidelines
• Comfortable working with digital tools and learning new platforms
• Basic knowledge of SEO or accessibility principles is an asset
