Volunteer Treasurer, Art Gallery of Georgina

We are seeking a committed and community-minded professional to join the Board of Directors as Treasurer. This volunteer leadership role plays a vital part in supporting the financial health, accountability, and long-term sustainability of the gallery.

The Treasurer works collaboratively with the Board and leadership team to provide financial oversight, ensure responsible governance, and help guide strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide financial oversight and guidance to the Board

• Review financial statements and monitor fiscal performance

• Support budgeting and financial planning processes

• Advise on financial sustainability and risk management

• Liaise with staff, bookkeepers, or auditors as appropriate

Ideal Experience & Skills

• Background in finance, accounting, business, or related fields

• Comfort interpreting financial statements and budgets

Virtual meetings are optional should you not be available to attend in person.
