
Volunteer Treasurer
Reel Causes is looking for a Treasurer to manage Reel Causes’ financials. Duties include: bookkeeping, financial management, budgets, reports and tax filing.
Reel Causes is a Vancouver-based non-profit that partners with filmmakers and Canadian causes dedicated to addressing global social justice issues.
We host five events a year: film screenings followed by panel discussions to educate and inspire our community, providing a forum for authentic conversation around the issues that affect us locally.

Overall, we’re looking for enthusiastic individuals who are self-motivated and interested in film, social justice and community issues. Ideally, candidates will have bookkeeping or board experience as a Treasurer, but we are open to all experience.
In terms of your commitment, we ask for:
- A few hours per month for self-directed tasks (varies depending on activities)
- One evening per month for board meetings (excluding July/August)
- Five in-person events per year
- A one-year commitment
