Volunteer Theatre Attendant
About the Role
We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team as Theatre Attendant! This is a great opportunity to be part of the vibrant theatre community and contribute to creating a welcoming experience for our patrons.
Orientation
All volunteers are required to attend a mandatory 2-hour orientation, held once a month. During this session, you’ll receive a detailed overview of your responsibilities and get to meet fellow volunteers and staff members.
Role Overview
As a Volunteer Theatre Attendant, you’ll rotate through three key positions throughout your shifts:
- Usher: Welcome patrons into the theatre, validate tickets, assist guests in finding their seats, and guide them to amenities.

- Greeter: Be the friendly first face guests see! Greet visitors at the entrance and direct them to the box office or theatre doors.

- Concessions: Handle snack and beverage transactions, maintain cleanliness at the concession area, and provide excellent customer service.

All volunteers help tidy and reset the theatre space at the end of each performance.
Additional Opportunities
Beyond theatre shifts, volunteers can participate in outreach activities, such as distributing marketing materials within the community — a great way to promote the arts and gain more volunteer hours.
