Volunteer with StepStones for Youth
StepStones for Youth supports young people involved in the child welfare system, helping them build stable housing, mental health supports, educational success, and long-lasting connections. And none of it happens without our incredible volunteers.
Whether you have a few hours or a long-term commitment to give, there's a place for you here:
- 🍽️ Weekly Community Dinners: Every Tuesday from 5:30–7:30 PM, we host a warm, welcoming dinner for the youth we serve — and we need hands on deck to make it happen! As a volunteer, you'll help with setting up the space, serving food, keeping things running smoothly during the meal, and cleaning up afterward. It's a simple but incredibly meaningful way to show up consistently for young people who need to know someone's in their corner. If you're looking for a regular, flexible commitment that fits into your week, this is it.
- 🤝 Mentor — Provide one-to-one guidance and support to a youth navigating life's challenges. (Age 25+, 3-year commitment)
- 🚗 Driver — Deliver groceries and essential donations to youth, or help with transportation when needed.
- 🎉 Event Volunteer — Help us bring our community together at our weekly community dinners, fundraising events, and more. Responsibilities include registration, food service, setup, and more.
- 🎨 Workshop Facilitator — Have a skill, trade, or hobby to share? We'd love to bring it to our youth. We're always open to new ideas and ongoing opportunities — reach out and let's make something happen.
