About SJS Canada

SJS Canada is dedicated to raising awareness, providing support, and advocating for individuals

affected by Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS), Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN. We are

seeking a passionate Social Media Specialist to help amplify our message and engage our

community online.

Role Overview

As a Volunteer Social Media Specialist, you will help manage and grow our social media

presence by creating engaging content, increasing community interaction, and promoting our

campaigns, events, and resources. Your contributions will play a key role in educating the public

and supporting those affected by SJS.

Responsibilities


• Develop and schedule engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.


• Create graphics, videos, and written posts to raise awareness of SJS and TEN.


• Monitor and respond to comments/messages to engage and support the online

community.


• Assist in planning and promoting fundraising and awareness campaigns.


• Track social media insights and suggest ways to improve engagement.


• Stay updated on social media trends and best practices.

Qualifications


• Passion for raising awareness about rare diseases and helping others.


• Experience managing social media accounts (personal or professional).


• Strong writing, communication, and creativity skills.


• Knowledge of Canva, Adobe Spark, or other design tools is a plus.


• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
