About Us

At hEr VOLUTION, we are a not-for-profit organization that is passionate about uplifting young girls and non-conforming youth in STEM. In the Volunteer Social Media Scheduler Role, you will be making a positive difference within the Marketing Committee, while working with individuals in other committees.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Volunteer Social Media Scheduler to plan, upload, and schedule content across multiple platforms including LinkedIn, Tik Tok, Instagram, X, and Facebook. This role is an execution-based role (not content creation), ensuring the smooth publishing of content and consistent posting.

What You’ll Do

  • Schedule posts on LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, and Tik Tok
  • Input captions, hashtags, and tags accurately into posts
  • Optimize post timing based on analytic analysis
  • Maintain and update the collaborative social media content calendar to report when posts have been scheduled and when they are live
  • Double-check formatting before publishing
  • Coordinate posts with others on the marketing team
  • Monitor scheduled posts for errors
  • Flag technical issues immediately
  • Ensure that the hEr VOLUTION brand is consistent with its voice and messaging across all communication channels

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year commitment
  • Passionate about STEM and youth
  • Interested in nonprofit work
  • Knowledgeable about social media scheduling, marketing, and/or communications
  • Experience using tools such as Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, and Google Analytics
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organized and deadline-driven
  • Familiar with platform-specific formatting
  • Basic understanding of engagement metrics
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong understanding of how to work as a part of a team
  • Ability to make changes to content as necessary
  • Align with the hEr VOLUTION brand

What Success Looks Like

  • You meet deadlines
  • You schedule posts regularly across social media channels
  • You are proactive and schedule posts ahead of time before they are due to go live
  • You work with other committee members to understand what upcoming events and campaigns need to be communicated
  • Strong ability to align with the hEr VOLUTION brand
