About Us:

Canadian Center for Women’s Empowerment (CCFWE) is a national registered non-profit organization dedicated to empowering domestic violence survivors to recover from economic abuse through advocacy, education, and policy change. We work in partnership to ensure women have access to and control over their own economic resources. We focus on four strategic priorities: public education and awareness-raising;Mental health and wellness; ensuring systems do not inadvertently facilitate economic abuse; and influencing policy. Our aim now is to ensure that policy and practice recognizes economic abuse so that victim-survivors are supported to achieve economic justice and abusers are held accountable for their behaviour.
