About Hearts and Mind

Hearts and Mind is a community organization that supports foster parents, kinship caregivers, and their families across Ontario.

We provide emotional, relational, and in-home support through programs that promote wellness, stability, and self-care; helping caregivers create nurturing environments for the children entrusted to them.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a volunteer photographer to help capture meaningful moments during our upcoming Building You event; a wellness and empowerment brunch designed to celebrate foster parents and kinship caregivers.

This event includes mindfulness and journaling sessions, affirmations, skincare experiences, and light makeup followed by professional portraits. Your work will help document the spirit of the day; care, connection, and community, while also providing caregivers with a memory of being seen and celebrated.

What You’ll Do

Capture candid and posed moments of guests engaging in activities.

Work alongside another photographer who will focus on individual portraits.

Deliver high-quality digital images after the event (we’ll credit your work).

Help tell the visual story of empowerment, joy, and belonging.

Refreshments and recognition in our event materials and social media.

Volunteer service acknowledgment letter upon request.

Who You Are

A freelance or emerging photographer looking to give back through your craft.

Experienced with indoor lighting and candid photography.

Friendly, dependable, and able to bring your own camera and basic gear.
