Job Summary
The Partnerships Specialist will lead the identification, development, and management of sponsorships and strategic partnerships aligned with MLF’s mission and audience. This role is responsible for researching and securing sponsorship opportunities, developing customized proposals and partnership packages, and managing outreach to corporate sponsors, cultural institutions, and media partners. The Partnerships Specialist will steward relationships with existing sponsors, coordinate sponsor deliverables, and track commitments, contracts, and timelines to ensure fulfillment. This role works closely with programming, marketing, and communications teams, and provides oversight to partnership-related activities led by Community Specialists and Coordinators. The ideal candidate has prior experience in sponsorships, partnerships, fundraising, or business development, with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Identify, research, and secure sponsorship opportunities aligned with MLF’s mission and audience.
• Lead the development of customized sponsorship proposals, pitch decks, processes and partnership packages.
• Initiate and manage outreach to corporate sponsors, cultural institutions and media partners.
• Maintain and steward relationships and mutually beneficial agreements with existing sponsors and collaborators.
• Coordinate sponsor deliverables and track sponsorship commitments, contracts, and timelines to ensure fulfillment.
• Collaborate with programming, marketing, and communications teams, as well as provide oversight to activities led by Community Specialists and Coordinators.
• Prepare sponsorship reports and post-event impact summaries.

Requirements

• 10-12 hours weekly
• Must have prior experience in sponsorships, partnerships, fundraising, or business development.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and meet deadlines.
