Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and strategic Volunteer & Outreach Coordinator to lead volunteer engagement and strengthen community and corporate partnerships. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a diverse, fast-paced environment and is skilled at mobilizing people and organizations for social impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement inclusive volunteer recruitment strategies and promotional campaigns.
- Conduct interviews, onboarding, and training for volunteers and staff.
- Match volunteers to roles based on skills and organizational needs.
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to design and execute outreach initiatives.
- Build and maintain partnerships with schools, businesses, faith groups, and service organizations.
- Lead corporate engagement efforts to recruit employee volunteers and secure in-kind and financial support.
- Represent Knights Table at community events, corporate volunteer fairs, and networking opportunities.
- Monitor volunteer performance and ensure compliance with policies.
- Maintain accurate volunteer records and prepare reports aligned with program goals.
- Recognize and celebrate volunteer contributions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in volunteer coordination, adult education, or nonprofit programming.
- Post-secondary education in volunteer management, human services, or a related field.
- Proven leadership, team-building, and motivational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience building corporate and community partnerships.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a culturally diverse environment.
- Proficiency in database systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
- Fundraising experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of WSIB, Ministry of Labour, and Employment Standards Act.
