Volunteer Opportunity: Flying Angels International Track & Field Championships

Join us as a valued volunteer for the Flying Angels International Championships, a premier international track and field competition bringing together athletes and teams from across Canada and around the world. Past participating countries and regions have included Jamaica, Barbados, Bermuda, the Bahamas, St. Lucia, Ghana, the United States, and numerous Canadian clubs and organizations.

Volunteers play an important role in creating a welcoming, safe, and successful event experience for athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting international sporting event, contribute to the community, and gain hands-on experience in athletics and event operations.

Your support will be essential to ensuring the smooth, safe, and enjoyable running of the event, celebrating athletic excellence and community spirit.

Responsibilities & Role Descriptions:
Track Event Volunteers
Assist with marshalling athletes, managing the starting line and finish line areas, and setting up hurdles.
Field Event Volunteers
Help measure and record results at long jump, high jump, and throwing events to ensure accurate competition scoring.
Set-up and Tear-down Volunteers
Support the setup of the event area before competition days and assist with packing and unloading equipment trucks during teardown.
Requirements:

• Ability to work well with others and communicate clearly.
• Comfortable standing or walking for extended periods during event days.
• Willingness to help with manual tasks such as lifting and carrying equipment (up to 20 lbs).
• Previous experience is an asset but not required.

Commitment:
Volunteers can select shifts based on their availability.

• Friday, July 3, 2026 | 3:00 PM – 8:45 PM (Competition)
• Saturday, July 4, 2026 | 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Full Shift)
• Saturday, July 4, 2026 | 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Competition)
• Saturday, July 4, 2026 | 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM (Competition)
• Sunday, July 5 2026 | 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Full Shift)
• Sunday, July 5, 2026 | 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Competition)
• Sunday, July 5, 2026 | 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Competition)
• Monday, July 6, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Tear-down & Clean-up)
