Job Overview
We are seeking an Operations Assistant who supports the day-to-day administrative and organizational functions of Muslim Literary Festival (MLF). This role plays a key part in keeping internal systems organized and running smoothly by maintaining digital files, calendars, and operational resources within Google Workspace. The Operations Assistant also provides general administrative support to the Operations Director and Operations team, helping track deadlines, manage internal documents, and maintain templates and forms used across the organization. This is an ideal role for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and interested in supporting the behind-the-scenes work of a growing non-profit.
Responsibilities
- Organize internal files, records, and archives within Google Workspace.
- Maintain internal calendars and assist in tracking organizational deadlines and events.
- Maintain operational templates and forms (e.g., sign-up sheets, checklists, surveys) in Google Docs or Sheets.
- Provide general administrative support to the Operations Director and team as needed
Requirements
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace, Slack, and Canva
- Takes initiative and is proactive in identifying operational needs
- Commitment to MLF's mission and values
- Reliable access to internet and ability to work remotely
- Bonus: Experience in operations, administration, or project coordination
- Bonus: Familiarity with nonprofit operations
