Volunteer Opportunity: Marketing & Public Engagement Lead (2 positions available)

Location: Hybrid (Toronto-based events + online coordination)
Time Commitment: 5–10 hrs/week (flexible)

Live More is a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to empowering Black youth, especially immigrants through creative expression, mental health support, and community building. We host workshops, art-based therapy events, peer groups, and other meaningful spaces that center healing, culture, and connection. We’re building a movement that says: your voice, your story, your wellbeing matters.

Job Overview

As our Marketing & Public Engagement Lead, you’ll be the voice and vibe of LiveMore across all platforms. From posting content that resonates with our community to creating partnerships that amplify our mission, you’ll help us shine in the digital and real-world space. If you’re creative, connected, and care about mental health and Black youth, we’d love to work with you!

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Manage our social media accounts (Instagram, Tiktok, LinkedIn, etc.)

  • Post daily updates: events, quotes, recaps, and community wins

  • Design content that is visually appealing and emotionally resonant

  • Interact with followers and grow our online presence

  • Promote our events and encourage public attendance

  • Create strategies to increase engagement and visibility

  • Reach out to potential partners, organizatiions and collaborators

  • Attend events to capture content, network and create buzz

Who You Are:

  • Social media-savvy and love being online

  • Experience using social media tools (Canva, Instagram Reels, etc.)

  • Confident communicator with a creative spark

  • Proficient in the English language, verbal & written

  • Self-motivated and consistent with posting schedules

  • Non-judgmental and acceptance of the various values and beliefs of others

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Comfortable networking and attending community events

  • Passionate about youth, mental health, and Black excellence

Requirements

  • Have residency in Canada (e.g., Canadanadian citizenship, PR, work permit, work visa, etc.)

  • Reliable in fulfilling work commitments

  • Able to comply with Livemore policies and procedures and our Code of Ethics

  • Maintain confidentiality regarding your work.

  • Access to phone/laptop and reliable internet connectivity

  • Sign and comply with our Volunteer Work Agreement.

  • Participate in ongoing training and work-related development opportunities.
