Volunteer Leader

Join SHARE in spreading holiday cheer as a Volunteer Leader at our Gift Wrap and Toy Bank Kiosks at Coquitlam Centre! SHARE Family & Community Services is looking for Volunteer Leaders to support our Holiday Gift Wrap & Toy Bank kiosks at Coquitlam Centre.

In this leadership role, you’ll help keep each shift running smoothly by supporting 7-15 volunteers, managing donations and gifts, restocking supplies, and creating a warm, festive experience for the community.

It’s a great opportunity to build leadership skills, meet new people, and make a meaningful difference this holiday season.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead and support volunteers throughout each shift.
• Complete opening and closing procedures and ensure the kiosk is ready to operate.
• Manage donations, cash, and gift cards according to SHARE procedures.
• Welcome mall patrons, respond to questions, acknowledge and thank donors
• Accept donations and complete registration and tax receipt forms.
• Track and organize gifts, coordinate wrapping, and ensure gifts are returned accurately.
• Restock supplies and assist wherever needed.
• Help create a welcoming, positive, and festive atmosphere.

Requirements:

• Commit to 2 shifts per week between Saturday, November 21 – Thursday, December 24. Each shift ranges from 3–5 hours.
• Attend a mandatory 1.5-hour orientation during the week of November 9-13 (date to be confirmed).
• Attend a mandatory 2-hour training session on December 2 or 3 (date to be confirmed).
• Complete a criminal record check prior to final acceptance.
• Please Note: This is a volunteer, unpaid position.
