Our&nbsp;Mentoring with Math Program&nbsp;is designed to strengthen the impact of tutoring by adding in the element of mentorship. Volunteers meet once-a-week for 90 minute sessions during afternoons over a 10 week period, and work on numeracy, activities, and games. No previous experience with math is necessary for volunteers and all training is provided by Big Brothers. This program is offered virtually and in-person in Greater Vancouver. Our Math Mentors are<ul><li>Adults aged 18+, inclusive of male, female, trans, and gender diverse individuals.</li><li>Reliable, consistent, dedicated and respectful of others.</li><li>Available to meet once weekly during weekday afternoons between 4:00pm and 5:30pm for 90-minutes for in-person sessions, or 60 minutes for virtual sessions.</li></ul>Our Mentoring with Math volunteers are asked to enroll in two 8-10 week terms as it's the best way to experience this fun program. <h3>What You’ll Be Doing:</h3>As a volunteer, you'll support day-to-day operations and help create a positive, respectful experience for everyone in our store. <h2>Join us at Coquitlam Centre’s new Santa’s Enchanted Elevator as a SHARE Ambassador!</h2> We’re excited to offer a new volunteer opportunity beginning December 5th supporting Santa’s Enchanted Elevator, an immersive holiday experience at Coquitlam Centre. Volunteers will help guests enjoy a magical “elevator ride” to the North Pole, complete with a giant snow globe, gingerbread forest, Santa’s sleigh, and a peek into Santa’s workshop. Entrance to Santa's Enchanted Elevator&nbsp;is by donation, with all proceeds supporting SHARE’s Food Bank. As a SHARE Ambassador, you’ll help accept donations, educate guests about SHARE Family &amp; Community Services, and spread holiday cheer by engaging with visitors, encouraging them to explore the holiday elements, and inviting them to take festive photos. Our current Executive Director, Ness Gale, will remain with the organization and work alongside the new Executive Director in a Co-Executive Director capacity for the first three to six months, beginning April 1, 2026.This shared leadership period will ensure a smooth transition of relationships, responsibilities, and organizational knowledge. Following this phase, Ness will step into a new Director level role focused on volunteer engagement, youth programs, and community connection, areas central to Low Entropy’s mission and impact.Application ProcessApplications will be accepted until the position is filled.
