About Making Prom Happen
Making Prom Happen is a grassroots nonprofit that helps students attend prom with confidence and dignity, even if financial barriers exist. We work with schools and community partners to support youth who might otherwise miss this milestone experience.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a volunteer IT professional or student with experience managing Microsoft 365. This role will help us optimize and maintain our Microsoft 365 environment so that staff and volunteers can collaborate smoothly and securely. Your work will save hours of staff time and help us focus on supporting students.
Responsibilities
Initial Setup and Optimization
Review and audit current Microsoft 365 configuration
Optimize SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange
Set up proper permissions and security settings
Ongoing Support
Provide light troubleshooting as needed
Periodic review of security settings
Occasional guidance as we scale
Ideal Qualifications
Experience administering Microsoft 365, professionally or through school projects
Understanding of data privacy and security best practices
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
Microsoft certifications are a bonus but not required
