Volunteer Grant Writer

The volunteer Grant Writer will play a critical role within the Fundraising Team. The main goal of the Fundraising Team is to secure the necessary funding to support Kids Up Front’s programs and initiatives. Some of our current fundraising streams include private donors, grants, and partnerships. An important fundraising day includes More Than a Movie, which is a fun community event for children and their families hosted at BC Place.

They will provide support in researching, writing and submitting grant proposals to foundations,
governments, and other funding sources. The Grant Writer will work closely with the Fundraising Team, including the Director of Charity Relations and Administration and Board Members, to ensure that all fundraising activities reflect the mission and values of Kids Up Front. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator with an interest in nonprofit fundraising. The work will mostly be done remotely, with virtual meetings. We are asking for a commitment of approximately 5 hours per week.
