Position Summary: The Fundraising Campaign Coordinator supports the Canadian Breast Cancer Network’s (CBCN) efforts in raising funds and securing capital to carry out its education and advocacy programming, as well as the operations of the organization. This full-time position will provide the candidate with the opportunity to develop and improve their leadership, communication, and organizational skills while gaining hands-on experience with strategies and tools used in non-profit fundraising and outreach. This position combines mentorship, practical experience, and digital skill development to help the candidate build confidence, strengthen workplace competencies, and develop transferable skills for future career opportunities.

The Fundraising Campaign Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Outreach Coordinator, the Communications and Administrative Coordinator, and the Director of Operations to develop and implement a fundraising strategy for the organization.

Position Responsibilities:

Strategy, Planning, and Execution

  • Support the planning and implementation of a digital fundraising campaign and strategy that is aligned with the organization’s 2026 programming and revenue goals.
  • Conduct research to identify potential donors, sponsors, or partners.
  • Monitor progress, track metrics, and adjust strategy as needed.
  • Develop compelling fundraising messages, stories, and calls-to-action tailored to different donor segments.
  • Use applicable tools and technology to support the full donor cultivation cycle; data and proposal preparation; and outreach strategies.
  • Prepare reports for executive leadership and board directors on campaign results and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and ethical standards.

Outreach and Engagement

  • Build and enhance the organization’s donor database, including converting current donors into monthly donors and securing new donors.
  • Collaborate with Communications and Administrative Coordinator and the Outreach Co-ordinator to co-develop outreach materials, promotional content, and strategies for campaigns.
  • Identify opportunities to increase the organization’s visibility and reputation.
  • Engage donors by keeping them updated on the organizations’ programs and initiatives.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Written and verbal communication skills in English. Written and verbal communication skills in French are considered a great asset.
  • Intermediate to advanced capability on software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, as well as email, and internet.
  • Collaborative attitude and working well with others.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a virtual work environment.

Location and Technology Requirements:

  • For those in the Ottawa area, there is the opportunity to work from the Ottawa office, if they choose to.
  • Will need access to a computer with reliable WIFI.
