Your Opportunity to Make a Real Impact

Are you organized, friendly, and passionate about helping animals and people? We're looking for a warm and reliable Front Office & Client Services Coordinator Volunteer to be the welcoming face of EHS. You’ll be the first point of contact for visitors, respond to inquiries, and support both the public and fellow volunteers in the smooth running of our shelter office.

This is a great role for someone who enjoys talking to people, staying organized, and being at the heart of the action while helping animals behind the scenes.

Time Commitment: Approx. 3-5 hours per week. We currently have openings on Tuesday and Saturday afternoons and relief/call-in shifts.
Location: On-site at the EHS shelter in Etobicoke, and some hours remotely
Compensation: Volunteer (unpaid) – but incredibly rewarding!

What You’ll Do:

Greet and guide adopters, fosters, and visitors to the appropriate teams
Monitor and respond to inquiries from the general info email inbox
Answer phones, manage voicemail, and redirect calls as needed
Support the office by monitoring shared inboxes
Help coordinate appointment reminders (e.g., vet visits for adopted cats)
Receive and organize donations dropped off at the shelter
Maintain a friendly, welcoming, and professional front office environment

Who You Are:

✅ Friendly, approachable, and passionate about helping animals and people
✅ Comfortable working on a computer and using tools like MS Office and Google Drive
✅ Organized, detail-oriented, and responsive to messages and inquiries
✅ Able to communicate clearly and respectfully by phone and email
✅ Familiar with or willing to learn EHS protocols and procedures
✅ At least 18 years of age
