About us

Global Bridge Learning Initiative is a federally registered Canadian nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to free English tutoring and education for students, immigrants, refugees, and underserved communities worldwide.

We are currently recruiting passionate volunteer tutors to join our growing team and make a real impact through education.

Many families face tutoring costs that can exceed $50 per session. Through our nonprofit model, we help students save thousands of dollars in educational expenses each year while still receiving meaningful academic support.

Our mission also addresses global educational inequality, especially in developing communities where access to quality English education can create life-changing opportunities.

In Canada, many newcomers arrive with strong academic backgrounds and valuable professional experience, but language barriers often prevent them from finding suitable employment. By improving English skills and confidence, we help immigrants integrate successfully, strengthen communities, support economic growth, and reduce the waste of valuable human talent.

What you will do

• Conduct online English tutoring sessions for non-native speakers.
• Create engaging and interactive lesson plans tailored to individual needs.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to help learners improve their language skills.
• Track and report on student progress.

What we are looking for

• Required: Fluency in English.
• Required: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Optional: Previous teaching or tutoring experience.
• Optional: TEFL/TESOL certification.
