Unpaid Volunteer Position
no work experience required
- Mileage reimbursement will be paid out 0.56¢ /km
- A volunteer driving 100 km's in a month would receive a reimbursement of $56.00
- Assist Children, Youth and Families with any transportation needs while being part of an Indigenous focused Child Well-Being agency
- Fulfill one-time, or recurring drive requests as needed with no required commitment or minimum hour count
- Maintain a communication pipeline with Agency staff, drivers, Canadaregivers and others to ensure that drives are completed safely, punctually and accurately
- Being highly patient and adaptive for sudden changes or cancelations to booked drives
- Installation and use of child Car Seats (training provided)
- Use of digital tools such as email, Adobe Acrobat for documentation, and Microsoft Excel for logging and submitting mileage (assistance and training provided)

Volunteer Impact:
- Drivers help children foster and maintain their relationships with their family and caregivers
- Assist in the ongoing plan to provide children, youth and families with high quality service and means of transportation they may not have otherwise
- Spend time and build relationships with children and families.
- Valid G-Class Driver's License
- 3 Years Drivers' Abstract (uncertified)
- A vulnerable sector check, notarized within the last 6 months
- Active Insurance Policy with $2 million liability coverage
- Policies, procedures and mileage logging
- Car Seat training, both theoretical and hands-on installations
- Indigenous Wholistic Practices training
- CPR / First Aid Training
