The Role: Donor & Grants Research Manager

As our Donor & Grants Research Manager, you will be the detective of our Growth Team —

identifying, researching, and qualifying grant opportunities and donor prospects that align with

our mission. You will ensure we invest our energy into opportunities where we truly fit, while

helping the team build strong relationships with funders from the very first contact.

Conditions:

• Location: Remote

• Commitment: Part-time (volunteer, pro bono role)

• Contribution Requirements: minimum 10–15 hours a week; minimum 3 months.

What Will You Do?

• Research Grants & Donors: Search for funding opportunities that match our mission and organizational requirements.

• Qualification: Analyze eligibility criteria and confirm alignment before moving opportunities forward.

• Direct Outreach: Contact organizations when necessary to clarify requirements and confirm eligibility.

• CRM Management: Track, organize, and update donor/grant opportunities in ClickUp (CRM system).

• Collaboration: Work closely with the Growth Team to prioritize high-potential opportunities and hand off qualified prospects for cultivation.

• AI-Powered Workflows: Use ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar AI tools to speed up research, draft outreach emails, and summarize grant requirements.

• Team Tools: Collaborate daily with the team through Slack, manage schedules and communication with Gmail/Google Calendar, and store research in Google Drive.

Who Are We Looking For?

• Experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor research, or grant prospecting (1–3 years minimum preferred).

• Strong research skills and ability to analyze eligibility criteria with attention to detail.

• Comfortable communicating directly with donor organizations to confirm requirements.

• Proficiency with tools: ClickUp, G Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive), Slack.

• Ability to use AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar) to enhance research and draft communications.

• Organized, proactive, and collaborative team player who thrives in a remote, multicultural environment.

Bonus Points For:

• Prior experience in fundraising, prospect research, or grants management.

• Understanding of nonprofit finance and donor reporting requirements.

• Experience with global or cross-cultural funders.
