Volunteer Childminder

About us

Margot's Place is a non-profit, non-faith based organization that provides inclusive and supportive programming and resources to young and at-risk moms in Brantford, Ontario. Childminders are needed to care for children while moms participate in group sessions. Childminding takes place in a room adjacent to the main program room. Ages of the children range from infant - preschoolers (with the occasional school-aged children on PA days)

Childminders are never left alone with the children, there will be a minimum of 2 volunteers at all times, as well as program staff to assist. Childminders are also not responsible for any diaper changes or toileting.

The ideal candidate

• Experience working with children is preferred but not necessary.
• Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
