Volunteer Board Member (Treasurer-Elect)

We are a small British Columbia charity that provides pet therapy visits to
hospices, hospitals, senior residences, schools, and workplaces. Our
volunteer teams—dogs and their handlers—bring comfort, companionship,
and emotional support to people who need it most.

We are seeking a CPA or financial professional to join our volunteer
Board of Directors as a Director, and to eventually transition into the
Treasurer role.

Commitment

• Monthly virtual board meeting (1–2 hours)
• Light preparation and occasional email input
• Approximately 3–4 hours per month
  

Responsibilities

• Provide financial oversight and review financial statements
• Support the organization’s financial governance
• Work with the Treasurer and Executive Director during the transition
  period
