Volunteer Board Member - Revenue Generation
CEF BOARD RECRUITMENT – AUGUST 2026
Objective
The CEF Board aims to recruit new members to strengthen our capabilities in fundraising/ revenue generation and strategic networking. This includes individuals with expertise in confidently presenting pitch decks to potential funders and partners.
Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back and volunteer with a social enterprise?
Compassionate Eye Foundation is a registered Canadian charity that leverages the power of creative people and photography in partnership with Getty Images to fund global development projects that improve lives worldwide.
We are looking for new volunteer Board Members to join our team to build on CEF’s 21 year history and to help chart our path forward. CEF is not a typical charity: up until now, CEF has generated all charitable revenues through a unique social enterprise model, selling photography through Getty Images. As the stock photography industry evolves, we are working to grow and diversify our revenue stream by exploring new funding models for partnership, sponsorship or donations from corporations.
In order to enhance the capabilities of our board, we are seeking candidates whose skills are well-suited to current vacancies within our revenue generation committee. In particular we are looking for people with an entrepreneurial mindset with particular expertise and interest in:
- Fundraising and revenue generation, including corporate partnerships, corporate social responsibility and donor development
Explore this opportunity! Please see below the ideal skills we are seeking in new board members for the open positions.
Involvement as a Board Member will look like:
- Volunteering (approximately 10 hours/month)
- Attending monthly virtual board meetings (approximately 2 hours/meeting)
- Participating in minimum of one working committee of the Board (current committee with vacancies: revenue generation)
- Developing new Board strategies to support cultivation, stewardship and growth of corporate giving and partnerships.

Our volunteer Board of Directors come together from our shared passion to have a positive impact (while having fun!). To apply, please email a cover letter and resume to joan.kluge@compassionateeye.org. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.
In your cover letter, please let us know why you want to join our volunteer Board and what revenue generation experience you may have. Only emailed applications including a cover letter will be considered. We will not review or consider applications that have not been emailed to us directly. While we thank everyone for their interest, only successful applicants will be contacted for an interview. This posting will remain open until all positions have been filled.
