Job Description

The board of kcs Association is a volunteer board responsible for governance of the organization. Members are not paid and dedicate their time and expertise to support kcs Association in their mission and purpose. The board provides strategic leadership, rather than administrative management, and supports the Executive Director in the operation and development of the organization.

Expectations of Individual Board Members

We expect each board member to:

• Participate in monthly board meetings (30 min per month)
• Act as a link between the community and the organization
• Ensure adherence to written governing policies
• Provide financial oversight
• Participate in yearly strategic thinking and planning (3-4 hours per year)
• Signing financial reports for our government contracts
