About EDSNA

The Eating Disorder Support Network of Alberta (EDSNA) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate support, education, and connection for individuals and families impacted by eating disorders. EDSNA focuses on system-level support and outreach.

Mission: Earlier intervention. Accessible Recovery. Social change.

Vision: We educate, connect, and support Albertans to reduce the impact and incidence of eating disorders and disordered eating.

The Opportunity

EDSNA is seeking new Board members with an accounting background who are committed to strong, accountable governance.

We are particularly interested in individuals with expertise in the following areas:

• Accounting Professional CPA/CA or other relevant accounting/finance designation is preferred

• Board Experience Prior experience serving as a treasurer on a Board of Directors is an asset . We encourage applications from candidates who demonstrate a readiness to engage in governance responsibilities and a commitment to strategic, high-impact contribution.

Board Member Expectations

• Attendance at regular Board meetings (currently monthly)

• Participation in committee work or special initiatives, as applicable.

• Estimated time commitment of approximately 2-4 hours per month.

• Willingness to advocate for EDSNA’s mission in the broader community.

• Lives in Alberta- unfortunately, we aren’t able to accept members from out of province.
