Summary
New Collar Collective is looking for volunteers to join our Board of Directors. We are a non-profit animal rescue based out of Toronto, ON. We are recruiting for TWO candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Marketing & Communications
- Human Resources and/or Volunteer Management
Description
Are you growth-oriented, strategic thinker with a love for cats and dogs? New Collar Collective, a Toronto-based, 100% volunteer-run, non-profit animal rescue, is looking for individuals committed to non-profit work who would like to make a difference in the lives of animals in need.
As a member of the Board of Directors, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and sustainability of this not-for-profit, making a profound impact on the lives of our animals, our volunteers and our adopters. This is a working Board Member position.
Role: Director
Commitment: 12 month term
Compensation: Volunteer
The time commitment would be approximately 3 to 5 hours per week.
Tasks may include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare for and attending monthly Board meetings.
- Work in close collaboration with board members and operational teams to support the development of the strategy and policy
- Explore opportunities to maximize exposure and revenue.
- Chair or participate in various committee opportunities.
- Help facilitate operations by performing other tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Professional Communications/Marketing or Human Resources education and/or experience
- Previous experience as a Board Member is an asset.
